High-calibre experts from Retail and Tech to complete 2nd HITT

High-calibre experts from Retail and Tech to complete 2nd HITT

(April 5, 2019). Digital minds think differently: out of the box, globally and customer-focused. The programme of the 2nd HospitalityInside Think Tank (HITT) on 19/20 May in Berlin is now complete with further high-calibre “Impulse Generators” from globally active companies. Again, non-hoteliers will speak. The four speakers come from PwC/PricewaterhouseCoopers Switzerland, Liganova/Brand Retail Company from Stuttgart, Scholz & Friends from Berlin and EY (and previously Publicis.Sapient) from the USA. These four bring in their experience from markets and methods, their own digital and tech projects. Enjoy a day about digitalisation as your personal “experience” on a seminar ship and in a small circle of only 60 participants… The registrations are running.

While the 2018 Think Tank premiere was about capturing the emerging technologies that are catapulting us into the digital world, this time HITT participants will learn more from other industries. To better understand where the hotel industry stands as an industry and how it can benefit from the digital value chain.

These four impulses at a glance guarantee a look beyond daily routine (all sessions will be done in English):

IMPULSE 1: Transition to digital.
Digitalisation meets Legacy.
Which sectors are more advanced, how is the hotel industry positioned? The big picture. Where companies are gaining most advantage from digital maturity, success factors and biggest issues to overcome.
>> Holger Greif, Partner and Head of Digital Transformation, PwC Schweiz
>> Nicolas Mayer, Leading Partner of Lodging & Tourism Clients Group EMEA, PwC Schweiz

IMPULSE 2: Learn from others.
Retail. On the driving seat of digitalisation?
Both retail and hotels are customer-centric industries selling their products offline (stationary) and online today. Which levers does retail use to approach the customers digitally?
>> Dr Marc Schumacher, Managing Partner, LIGANOVA / The Brand Retail Company

IMPULSE 3: Digital solutions for staff development.
Human Resources 4.0. The shift in thought leadership.
Align personal and professional development: How leaders empower the next generation and redefine relationships in a changing corporate culture.
>> Catherine Gaudry, Group Head Talent and Transformation, Scholz & Friends Group

IMPULSE 4: Watch out.
Feedback from the frontiers of digitalisation.
How to bring digitalisation to life. Listen to success stories and challenges to overcome from companies on the move to the new era.
>> Bill Kanarick, Chief Customer Leader, EY (and former Chief Strategy Officer, Publicis.Sapient)

With Dr Marc Schumacher and Bill Kanarick, we are presenting two new Impulse Generators to you today that will remain on board throughout the day. Schumacher is a proven retail and marketing expert who started his career in the fashion industry – with Hugo Boss and Breuninger. At the age of 34, he was promoted to Chief Retail Officer and member of the Tom Tailor Group Management Board. He has been working at the Stuttgart retail manufacture Liganova since 1995.

American Bill Kanarick joined EY in February 2019 as a Global Customer Leader, helping companies and brands introduce customer-focused operating models to compete in a digital market. Prior to that, his passion was dedicated to Sapient, one of the world’s leading companies in digital experience, digital marketing and technology services, where he served as a senior executive and member of the global leadership team for 20 years. Among other things, he focused on the business-critical relationship between marketing and technology in transforming businesses.

Together with digital expert Holger Greif (Head of the Experience Center Zurich) and hospitality expert Nicolas Mayer, both from PwC Switzerland, and Catherine Gaudry, the Group Head of Talent & Transformation at the advertising and creative agency Scholz & Friends, the range of topics will be broad, but also include various best practice examples, ideas and approaches.

Organizer HospitalityInside is looking forward to an exciting and colourful day. The first batch of participants has already confirmed, but places are still available! We are looking forward to welcoming you on board the HITT 2019!
