Save the date! HITT 2019 fixed for May

(August 24, 2018). HITT, Edition 2: The second HospitalityInside Think Tank (HITT) will take place on Sunday/Monday, 19/20 May 2019 – again in Berlin and again on the seminar ship. SAVE THE DATE! You can register for this on this website or send an eMail to maria@hospitalityInside.com. The new programme is maturing – with the HITT participants 2018.

The “floating forum” got the ideas flowing at the premier, and since then, many issues have been raised as regarding “emerging technologies”, issues to be built upon and explored – also in view of the next Think Tank next May. Organiser HospitalityInside has already set the date for the next event in May, as June is full of national holidays (with bridging days). Yet even if the weather is less favourable than it was this year, the unconventional day on the seminar ship will get the creative juices flowing.

Formulating challenges

From the valuable contributions from the impulse generators (speakers from outside the hospitality sector) and from the discussions in the Think Tank groups, two issues in particular focused interest: How can technology and service commitments be combined? And how can hotels draw their staff along with them and link them into the new smart world?

The post-event workshops are intended to provide answers to exactly these questions; the first of these workshops will take place in September in Frankfurt in the rooms of HITT sponsor Sabre Hospitality. The community will enter further into the debate, will probe the issues and decide on preferences in order to focus in on solutions to specific challenges in upcoming meetings.

Discussion at the Expo Real

Since Europe’s leading trade fair for real estate and investment, the Expo Real Munich, is pushing forward on the issue of digitisation and will for the second time promote the REIN – the Real Estate Innovation Network, there will also be a discussion round at the Expo Real hotel conference, the “Hospitality Industry Dialogue”. “When bricks learn to speak…” is the title of this panel in which the aim will be to investigate how sensors, analytics, artificial intelligence, blockchain and more will change hotel real estate. The barriers for hotel operations are certainly coming down. The panelists will also bring will add aspects from the HITT, for which the Expo Real (with REIN) has also been a sponsor partner. Please take note: “Hospitality Industry Dialogue”, 16.30-17.20 hrs at “Planning & Partnerships Forum” in Halle A2.
